Ordering FAQ

  • Q: I don't know my birth time. How does this affect my chart?

    A: Creating a piece without time information accurately reflects the data in the chart. Our algorithm simply ignores time-based information.

    The time of day primarily affects two parts of an astrology chart: the rising (or "ascendant"), and the midheaven.

    When someone marks that they don't know their birth time, a default time of noon is set but time-based information is disregarded when creating a piece.

    When creating the aspects (or "alignments") of a chart, we exclude creating aspects for rising and midheaven chart aspects. In this way the piece represents a correct chart even without time information.

  • Q: What does my chart mean?

    A: There are many interpretations of a chart. This interpretation is best done by an experienced astrologer. We will have recommendations here soon too help you find someone to read your chart.

  • Q: How long will it take to recieve my piece?

    A: We estimate 7-9 weeks to ship your piece. This is just an estimate and can vary by time of year, shipping times, and the capacity of our manufacturing partner at the time of your order. Each piece is ordered from our 3D-printing supplier, and hand finished, before being assembled by hand by us. Because each one is a custom order, this takes time.

  • Q: What is the process of creating my order?

  • Q: I need my order before the estimated date. Can I speed up my order?

    A: Unfortunately we cannot speed up the manufacture of an order. However, we do offer a digital download and live preview page for every piece ordered. You can see more about our download and preview page here.

  • Q: What is the technical process used to produce the pieces?

    A: The silver and brass pieces are 3D-printed in wax and then cast using a lost-wax process. They are then hand polished.

  • Q: My order has the wrong date / time / place. What do I do?

    A: Since each piece is custom, orders cannot be changed once they are made. If it's been less than 24 hours since you made your order, please contact us as soon as possible and we will attempt to alter your order. Otherwise, orders that have any wrong info will be charged a fee to be changed. See our policies for complete details on returns and exchanges.

Technical Astrology FAQ

  • Q: The chart says my sun / moon / rising is Aquarius but it's actually Pices, Capricorn, etc. ?

    A: Each chart website generates your chart in a slightly different way. The exact longitude and latitude associated with the place entered can affect the readings of the chart. We use the same underlying ephemeris as astro.com, so we are striving to make our calculations as accurate as possible.

    If the inaccuracy that you're seeing in our chart is on the cusp of a sign, small differences in time and place can put it over into another sign.

    If you see any errors that are completely different from the charts you've generated before please contact us, we are always trying to make our chart more accurate.

  • Q: What house system do you use?

    A: Placidus. We are currently working on giving the option of other house systems when you create your chart.

  • Q: Some of my houses and planets seem to be inacurate?

    A: See above.

  • Q: I don't see some bodies- Ceres, South Node, etc.

    A: We are currently considering adding other planets and nodes.

  • Q: How do you select the aspects that appear in the jewelry?

    A: We employ our own algorithm for selecting the aspects based on prioritizing sun, moon and rising aspects, among other things.

  • Q: I have a grand trine/cross etc. in my chart. Why isn't it in the jewelry?

    A: We have decided not to prioritize planetary patterns in our algorithm.

  • Q: I'd like to select my own aspects in my jewelry.

    A: That feature will be available in the future.
